Finally Friday!

Braxton has been asking all week if it is friday yet. Well, it finally is. After preschool today, we are heading to Alliance. I'm not going to lie, the trip there might be interesting. We are taking my Hyundai (trying to keep the miles low on the van, it's a lease) and it is a little cramped. Last night the kids and I made Chex Mix, Rice Krispy Treats, and Cookies for our trip, so we are set there! Braxton got everything packed last night for himself, but was quite upset with me when I told him we were only staying two days. He just didn't understand why he couldn't just take more clothes and we could stay more days. Tomorrow is the family day for the railroad, Braxton can't wait to get inside the locomotives. I will post pictures when we get back! We hope everybody has a great weekend! Hopefully the weather is nice enough that we have a good trip!

Grandma & Grandpa Day!

Since we hadn't seen my parents since July, we decided to meet them halfway in North Platte for lunch on Saturday. We finally got out of town (the kids had lost part of the DVD player...) and the kids did pretty good. Braxton was ready to be there about 2 hours into it. (the trip is about 3 hours, FYI). We met my parents for lunch, and the kids got their present's from Hawaii. they were so excited, but mostly loved the flip flop key chains.
After lunch we decided to find a park and go play. The kids loved the slides and the teeter tatter (is that how you spell that?) After a while of playing, we decided to go to the Golden Spike Visitors Center. It overlooks the Union Pacific Railyards in NP. They are the biggest in the world. Braxton especially thought it was awesome, and we learned a lot about trains from Grandpa Mike! We went to the outdoor observation deck which was really neat, then we went to the 8th floor which was an indoor observation deck with windows.
We found out that there is a "family day" next weekend at the railroad in Alliance, so we made the quick decision to head back there. Wish us luck with the trip!

Just a side note, friday night we went to the Pius football game, they were honoring the championship team from 10 years ago, which Chad was a part of! It was really neat, they had them down on the field at halftime. We met up with a guy that chad was friends with in high school and our kids hit it off! Braxton and Lilly both loved the football game, and they did win, 48-7!

Family Weekend!

This weekend, Chad's cousin got married so all of his family was in town. It was so great to see everybody!

Friday night Chad's sisters and their families all came over for pizza. The kids had a blast playing Wii fishing and just running around. most of the kids ended up staying the night, I couldn't believe how well they all slept.

Saturday we had soccer, Braxton's last day. :( But it was a lot of fun. Then it was time to come home and get ready for the wedding! The wedding was beautiful, although the kids were a little grouchy. 2:30 in the afternoon is not a good time for them! Afterwards, the reception was at the embassy suites. The kids had a good time dancing and playing at the kids table.

Sunday was the picture party and it went awesome! Although the weather called for rain, it never did, it was cloudy but very nice. I hope everybody got some good pictures! We should be able to see them in a few days!
here are some pictures from the weekend.

Pumpkin Patch!

***WARNING PICTURE OVERLOAD***
Today we went to Roca Berry Farms. Since we are busy the next two weekends, and knew it would be super busy the weekend before halloween, we decided to go today. It wasn't too busy, but it was really windy! The kids both got to pick out a pumpkin to bring home. They had a great time!
