A Day at the Pool!

While Chad is working in the bathroom, the kids and I usually go swimming (if it's not raining!) Braxton is doing really well!! He can really get around that pool with his ring. He is a little hesitant without it! Lilly likes to be in the pool with her dolphin boat, but otherwise just likes to throw things in! She thinks it is a great game to throw something in and have someone get it for her. She is a bit of a daredevil! She likes to stand on the edge of the pool and get water for her watering can. The other night she walked out on the diving board. Chad said he would catch her if she jumped, but she didn't want to. She hasn't fallen in yet, but she wears her lifesaving swimsuit just in case! Both of the kids like to play with the water and clean grandma's outdoor furniture. Grandpa Bernie was helping them!

Grandma's Bathroom

Many of you have probably heard that we are re-doing Chad's Grandma's bathroom. It seemed like such a small project, but now has been about 3 weeks! So far Chad has replace the bathtub and the shower walls, put in new flooring, put in a paneling on the bottom half of the walls, painted the walls, and I have sanded and stained new bathroom cabinets. Tomorrow he should have the cabinets back in, complete with new countertop and the rest of the paneling up. It will be fully functional Thursday night! Good thing because Chad's Uncle and Aunt from North Caroline get here Friday morning. YIKES! It is going to look VERY nice in the end though.

Reba Concert

The Reba concert last night was AWESOME!!! She puts on such an amazing show! Even the large, stinky girl next to me or make that sat on me most of the night didn't change the awesomeness! She sang my favorite songs, is there life out there, the night the lights went out in Georgie, and FANCY! It was awesome!! Our seats were good! What a perfect Mother's day gift! Thanks Chad!

I took this AWESOME picture of a rainbow at Kristy's house when we were there for Alexis' birthday. I love rainbows and think the barn just makes it a neat picture!

Family Pictures

Since Lilly turned 2, we went to get pictures taken. It turned out to be a pretty good experience even though the kids were not in the greatest of moods. Below are some of the pictures!

Summertime

It is officially summer around here! We got the pool cleaned out and have all gone swimming! It's not too warm yet, but it's not too bad either. Lilly really just enjoys throwing things into the pool. She really is exhausting. Braxton is doing very well. He can float all around with his floaty ring.
Chad is re-doing his Grandma's bathroom, so we are spending lots of time over there! We would go swimming a lot more if it wasn't so stormy. Last night (Wednesday) was really bad. The tornado sirens kept going off and Braxton was kind of scared. Lilly just really like to watch the bubbles. (the water hitting the pool made bubbles).
Lilly is finally talking more! WOO HOO!! The speech therapy is working. She really likes to say "ball" and "bubble" and "mom". She calls Braxton "ba ba", we're not quite sure why.
Grandma and Grandpa Laverty will be here this weekend, Braxton is counting down the days! Chad and I are going to see Reba on Friday and Grandma and Grandpa are keeping the kids. The kids are excited!
